One: Have you heard the news?
Two: No, what's happened?
One: The good Lord has come down in human form and had himself killed!
Two: To what end?
One: With this act, the Devil is hoodwinked and all humanity saved!
Two: Gosh, that's simply lovely.
- Children of Men5
- Really uneven. I like Owen very much, and there was some good stuff (including the best CGI ever!) but it wasn't enough to save it.
- Jackass Number Two5
- Not nearly as funny as the first one, but I didn't see it in a theater, so that may have affected my experience.
- The Informer5
- Not much there and way the wrong time to show this film.
- Maniac Cop5
- Fun to see Bruce and Sam, and really not all that horrible all things considered.
- Inside Man5
- Fun for the first hour and a half and then it completely falls apart when you realize just how stupid the plot is.
- Morgan!5
- Reminded me a lot of The Ruling Class which I also didn't get.
- Metallica: Some Kind of Monster5
- At times I'd laugh out loud at the Spinal Tapian hilarity of the whole thing, but mostly I was just bored. Who gives a shit about these fucking crybabies?
- A History of Violence5
- A Cronenberg move that I didn't despise is rare indeed.
- Postcards from the Edge5
- I like Fisher, I like Nichols, but this was pretty flat and very very dated.
- Junebug5
- 2 parts Wes Anderson, 2 parts Napoleon Dynamite, 8 parts still shots. Mix and stir and you get meh.
- The Andromeda Strain5
- Boring and basically plotless. The only G rated movie I've ever seen with a titty-shot though!
- Serenity5
- Not all bad, but not very good.
- The Ladykillers5
- Johnson steals, but can't save the show.
- High Tension5
- Really scary until the really stupid twist that I should have seen coming.
- Dark Water5
- This was fairly well written, it just wasn't scary in any way.
- The Island5
- Predictable and full of holes, but very pretty.
- The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe5
- Small and fake. This film could have easily been on par with the LotR films and it wasn't even close.
- V for Vendetta5
- Stunt Rock5
- I think I would have been OK with only seeing the trailer for this one. Silly and funny, but not for 86 minutes. A very surprising lack of T&A.
- House Of Wax5
- The same old slasher movie.
- Undead5
- Some laughs, but not enough zombies for me.
- Four Days In September5
- Very "movie of the week"ish
- Constantine5
- Better than I thought, but still pretty bad.
- Hamlet5
- I can't recommend this version. It's a filming of a live Broadway show and the sound is terrible and it was, at least for me, difficult to follow.
- The Aviator5
- A full point for Blanchett. What a bore.
- The Laramie Project5
- A sad story, but not a very good movie.
- House of Flying Daggers5
- It seemed very thrown-together.
- The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou5
- Better than I'd expected, but it can't touch Bottlerocket or Rushmore. A few laughs, but still I can't escape the feeling that Anderson without Wilson as a writing partner is like McCartney without Lennon.
- The New Centurions5
- *Everybody* is in this movie. Even Weezie is a ho!
- Dances with Wolves5
- Not a bad movie, but nothing special. Quite over-rated.
- Mystic River5
- Tons of potential squandered by Eastwood's lack of restraint.
- Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events5
- Too many pop culture references. Narrator and baby subtitles didn't help.
- Detective Story5
- Pretty mediocre for Wyler.
- Ministry of Fear5
- The odd cuts make me think this movie was butchered. It had potential.
- The Cincinnati Kid5
- A poor-man's The Hustler with the poor-man's Paul Newman.
- Children of the Corn5
- I guess you had to be there.
- Saved!5
- Some laughs, but mostly pretty amateurish.
